Our Mission
Who We Are
Yeshivat Nahar Shalom was established in Jerusalem as a center for the study of Kabbalah and Jewish mysticism. For generations, our scholars have preserved and transmitted the deepest traditions of the Torah, drawing students from across the world.
Beyond the study hall, we are deeply committed to the welfare of our community — providing meals to those in need, supporting widows and orphans, and distributing sacred texts to students who could not otherwise afford them.

Our Yeshiva
A Center for Kabbalah, Zohar & Jewish Mysticism in Jerusalem
Yeshivat Nahar Shalom (ישיבת המקובלים נהר שלום) is a Sephardic Kabbalistic yeshiva in Nachlaot, Jerusalem, founded in 1939 by Rabbi Mordechai Sharabi. Named for the classic work "Nahar Shalom" by Rabbi Shalom Sharabi (the Rashash), the yeshiva has been a home for the study of Jewish mysticism, the Zohar, and Etz Chaim for generations.
Today the yeshiva is led by Harav Benayahu Shmueli, who teaches Kabbalah and guides students and visitors seeking Torah wisdom and spiritual healing. Daily prayer follows the kavanot of the Ari and the Rashash siddur, and the yeshiva publishes the Rechovot HaNahar prayer books along with editions of the Holy Zohar for scholars worldwide.
From its home at Shilo and Agrippas Streets in Nachlaot, Yeshivat Nahar Shalom continues the legacy of the Rashbi and the traditions connected to Meron — welcoming avrechim and community members to Torah study, hilula gatherings, and acts of chesed that sustain Jerusalem's spiritual life.
