Every Moment is Considered like an Entire Month!

A Translation of Rabbi Shmueli's short video Dvar Torah

·         Our teacher, Rabbi Yosef Chaim,

·         during the month of Elul, would go into seclusion.

·         He would travel from Baghdad

·         and go to the tomb of Yechezkel [Ezekiel] the Prophet,

·         and there he would isolate himself, taking a minyan (quorum of ten) with him, remaining alone studying

·         and secluding himself, praying to our Father in Heaven.

·         And one day he wrote a letter;

·         he writes to someone

·         to whom Rabbi Yosef Chaim had to return an answer, saying: "I am replying to you during the month of Elul,

·         when every single moment

·         is as important as a whole month of days.

·         Such is the great importance

·         of the month of Elul."

·         Therefore, we ought to

·         think about how we can utilize now

·         these holy days, which are a great gift.
