The Best Advice for Wise Children by Rabbi Shmueli, Shlit"a
After half a year he saw me. What can I tell you? "This advice opened up my children's intellect! Today they study, they understand, they are happy!"

One of my sons studied at Yakiri Jerusalem.
He was in 7th grade, I remember.
They called me in.
Some matter — the teacher needed to see me.
I went.
What does he speak to me about? The Rabbi was a great man.
He says to me: "Look..."
He has two sons, good children of his .
(He was speaking about himself).
"But their minds are like a wall; they don't absorb.
I don't know what to do. I am constantly in great pain over this".
I gave him advice, good advice:
"Every day, let them read the Zohar for twenty minutes" .
He said: "What are you talking about? These are children, how will they read Zohar?"
I said to him: "Try it, it will open up their mind" .
After half a year he saw me.
What can I tell you?
"This advice opened up my children's intellect!
Today they study, they understand, they are happy!"
This advice is not mine .
We studied in Porat Yosef, and our teacher and Rabbi was Rabbi Ben Zion Abba Shaul.
He used to tell us: "If you want to understand what I am saying, read a few pages of the Zohar every day, and then you will understand what I am telling you".
That's what he told us.
This is good advice for every Jew — for the aspect of his soul, for the body, for everything!
