To Be Saved From The Flood In This Generation
Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai says, "I have made for you an ark like Noah's ark, to save the final generation from the flood of problems that will exist then, both spiritually and materially—troubles, suffering, illness, problems."
Now there is a flood of troubles, of suffering, of heresy, of lusts, and of excesses.
How can a person be saved from this?
Enter the ark.
What is the ark? It is the house of study (bet midrash).
But it is written in the Holy Zohar that there is a special ark. Thus says the Zohar—you can actually see this at the beginning of Zohar Hadash. It appears in many places in the Zohar, but there you will find, at the beginning of Zohar Hadash, see: Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai says, "I have made for you an ark like Noah's ark, to save the final generation from the flood of problems that will exist then, both spiritually and materially—troubles, suffering, illness, problems."
He says, enter this ark and you will be saved.
What is this ark? It is the Book of the Zohar. This is the Noah's Ark of the final generation.
Whoever recites the Holy Zohar, enters this ark, will be saved from the entire flood that is outside. Let him recite the Holy Zohar.
