Prayer Upon Leaving The Sukkah
May it be Your will, Hashem our L-rd and L-rd of our fathers, that by merit of the fulfillment of this commandment of the Sukkah that we have fulfilled, we shall merit and live for the coming year to dwell in the booth of the skin of Leviathan, as it is said: "Can you fill his skin with Sukkot" (Job 40:31). Amen, so may it be His will. (

21st of Tishrei 5787 | Oct. 2, 2026 | 11:55

(Literally Sukkot in the context of Job 40:31 are harpoons or barbed iron, but in Baba Batra 75a, Rabbi Yochanan expounds the word to be a reference to Sukkot that we dwell in.)
And some add this prayer:
Master of the Universe, may it be pleasing before You that those holy angels associated with the commandment of the Sukkah and the four species—lulav, etrog, myrtle, and willow—observed during the holiday of Sukkot, shall leave with us as we depart from the Sukkah, and enter with us into our homes for life and peace. And may there always be upon us supreme protection from Your holy abode, and save us from all sin, iniquity, evil encounters, bad times, and all bad events that threaten to come upon the world. Pour upon us a spirit from on high, and renew our inner thoughts to serve You truly, with love and fear. May we constantly study Your holy Torah, learning and teaching. May the merit of the four species and the commandment of the Sukkah stand for us so that You will be patient with us until we return to You in complete repentance before You, rectifying all that we have corrupted. May we merit to sit at two tables without pain or sorrow, I and my family and descendants, and may we all be quiet, peaceful, prosperous, and refreshed and servants of Hashem in truth, according to the reality, according to Your good will, among the entirety of the children of Israel. May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable before You, my Master, my Rock and my Redeemer.
