The promise of Maran, the Rashash, ZYA"A:

"There is no illness in the world that these letters will not heal, even to remember [grant children to] barren women and to remove all fevers."

Years [it has been] that the secrets of the names of the river of the Garden of Eden, which appear in the Siddur of the Rashash, , ZYA"A are passed between the Kabbalists and are considered as producers of miracles above the way of nature.

Our teacher and our rabbi, the Kabbalist Rabbi Benayahu Shmueli, Shlit"a, Head of the Yeshiva of the Kabbalists "Nahar Shalom," prepared the holy names and wrote them in holiness and purity on parchment.

Afterward, he traveled to the Cave of the Machpelah [Cave of the Patriarchs], the source of the rivers of the Garden of Eden, from where according to the Rashash the great abundance [Shefa] is channeled, and he held a special and sublime prayer assembly.

Afterward, he traveled to a winery in Hebron and introduced, in a special ceremony, the holy names into wooden barrels filled with fine wine, and after the letters dissolved and were erased, the potent [remedial] and holy wine was put into bottles.

The Blessing of Our Teacher and Rabbi, Shlit"a:

"Anyone who will drink from this wine here that they make in the winery of Hebron, may it be that the Holy One, Blessed be He, will, to heal him, that he will give him healing and salvation and a good life, satisfaction and joy, and all good, Selah."

Now, after the wine ran out following the great demand, our teacher and rabbi wrote the holy names again on parchment, and sent his son, the Kabbalist, the Head of the Kollel, Rabbi Yosef Shmueli, may he live for good and long days, Amen, to the Holy City of Hebron. And after special prayers that the Rabbi arranged at the graves of our holy ancestors in the Cave of the Machpelah, he traveled to the winery in Hebron and introduced the amulet with the names of the rivers into a wine barrel, and additionally poured also from the first wine of his father, our teacher and rabbi, the Kabbalist Rabbi Benayahu Shmueli, Shlit"a, into the barrel.

And this is the wording of Maran, the Rashash, ZYA"A:

"That there is no illness in the world that these letters will not heal, even to remember barren women and to remove all fevers, and there is nothing like it to drive away the left side [forces of evil] immediately and the wrath of the crawlers of dust [snakes and scorpions], for these letters open the gates of the Garden of Eden, open all the gates of mercy and bring them down, and there is nothing that is above that you will not achieve with those letters; and these letters themselves are engraved on the gates of the rivers of the Garden of Eden, going out from the abyss beneath the Cave of the Machpelah, and there the Tree of Life is bound inside the Garden inside these waters."

Matters of the Rivers of the Garden of Eden and Their Segulah (Spiritual Remedy)

A very precious discourse from the Prayerbook of the Rashash (Rabbi Sharabi), ZYA"A, regarding the segulot of the names of the rivers of the Garden of Eden and the manner of their use, particularly during Havdalah at the departure of the Sabbath.

This is the (translated) wording of the Prayerbook of the Rashash, may his merit protect us, regarding the matter of the names of the rivers of the Garden of Eden and their segulah: I shall cause you to hear great and mighty things from Hashem your L-rd, and through them you shall know the secret of the wonders of the Almighty that lives.

And now, you shall surely know that [in] Pishon resides the secret of the L-rd Himself in these letters, and there is no sickness in the world that these letters will not heal—even to remember (visit) barren women [with children], and to remove all fevers, and in a time of plague, Heaven forbid, there is nothing like it to drive away the Left Side (evil forces) immediately, and the violence of the crawlers of the dust (snakes/scorpions). And this is the secret of the book that Hezekiah the King of Judah hid, and it is the wisdom of this secret from these letters and the great tradition hidden within them. And it will untie every binding and sorcery momentarily. Each one of these three or four together, from bottom to top and from top to bottom, the letters from the four names are joined one into another and one into another, first in straight order and afterward in reverse. And afterward, from each name you shall take the first letter, and you shall make a word in straight order and in reverse, and this is their order as your eyes see; and when you perform it, you will enter and see wonders of wonders immediately.

Behold, for these letters are the keys to the gates of the Garden of Eden; they open all the gates of mercy and bring them down. And there is nothing above that you will not achieve through these letters if the hindrance is from you [and not from Heaven]. And these letters themselves are engraved upon the gates of the rivers of the Garden of Eden. And these rivers go forth from the deep beneath the Cave of Machpelah, which is beneath the Garden of Eden, and their waters are warm, and there the Tree of Life is bound within the Garden within these waters, and there the Supreme Name of Hashem descends into these rivers in with esoteric secret of the four ends of the world, and within these waters resides the esoteric secret of the elixir of life and the esoteric secret of the elixir of death. For if you wish to heal, it will heal, and if to cause death, they will cause death. And within them is the power of the Almighty, and if you erase these names in water or in wine, wonders will be done for the man or woman who drinks them. And it will stop the tearing of the weeping eye, and lengthen the eyesight and strengthen it and restore it to its strength, and remove every sickness and every blow, and he will become wise and remember everything he reads, when you make the letters as I have spoken. And when you see these wonders, then you will believe that there is a L-rd in Israel. For they will remove all types of fevers in the world when you give these names erased as mentioned, in the way that I have instructed you.

And therefore it is called the Tree of Life, because in the secret of these names with their letters, the power of the Almighty is hidden there to do with them whatever you wish. And therefore Hezekiah hid them, because the world was removing [their] trust from the Almighty. And the secret of the giving is three times, and mostly four times, for anything you wish to do with them. For the entire secret of the wisdom of medicine is hidden within them. And it will also avail to stop menstrual blood, and so shall you do for your wife, and for all that you wish. And it will increase the seed of the man to father [children], and prepare the woman for pregnancy. And the wise person will understand, and the truth has been told to you; the praise to the Almighty, His blessing, and His success for all things—all resides in the secret of these letters. And on any day that you remember them as they are written in the Torah, or at night upon your bed, and also the entire verse of "Vihi Noam" (May the pleasantness...), and the verse "V'ani Tefilati" (And as for me, may my prayer...), you will be successful all that day, and in everything to which you turn you will be wise and succeed. And you will conquer the entire Left Side under your hand, and there is no one who will stand against you.

And I have already told you that King Solomon, peace be upon him, brought this secret out from the Garden of Eden, and it is the book of Remedies that was put into Geniza (hidden from access). And these names engraved upon silver in permuted order as I said, they are good and effective (mesugal) for protection and for favor, and they will perform wonders of protection from all bad occurrences, and are wondrous in the secret of success in wisdom and in wealth, and in all the undertakings of one's hands; there is no estimation above them [it is not] an exaggeration. And all the days they are upon him, no illness will come to him, and no bad occurrence will happen to him at all. And you will wonder a wonder of wonders from what you will see with your eyes through the power of these letters, provided that you make it with intention (kavanah) according to all that I have instructed you. Also, with these names the insane will be healed, and all types of tertian and quartan fevers, and all types of abscesses. And when human beings see this power, they will believe in Hashem, the L-rd of Israel. And walk humbly with your L-rd.

And if you mention them ten times after Havdalah, you will be successful all the week. And it is good to write them in a cup, and you shall place wine in it and say the Havdalah over it, and erase [the writing into the wine] and drink the wine, and so shall you do every week.
